Five Star Field House Project
In Memory of Jim Fragetta
The Towson Sports Boosters, a volunteer run organization, is in the midst of several exciting enhancements to the athletic facilities at Towson High School. The school community has already seen the benefit of a new synthetic turf field, stands, and scoreboard. Now is the time to bring a fully-functional comfort station to Towson High School. This facility has recently and aptly been named The Five Star Field House, to be built in honor and in memory of Dr. Jim Fragetta.
This four-season facility will be constructed adjacent to the athletic track and will provide restrooms, a medical station, a changing room for referees, a concession stand, and a means of communicating between the athletic fields and the school building, all while fully accessible to fans of all ages and abilities. This is the vision of James Fragetta, M.D. Jim and his wife Karen were long-standing community volunteers, both through Towson Sports Boosters and the Towson Recreation Council. As proud parents of two daughters who both attended Towson High School, Jim immersed himself in the sports boosters, even re-stocking the concessions while receiving medical treatment for cancer. Unfortunately Jim passed in January, 2019, leaving so many in our Towson community and his countless pediatric patients missing his warm spirt, his infectious laughter and wit, and his care for each and every person.
The Towson Sports Boosters are proud to name this comfort station in memory of Jim. As a volunteer effort, the James Fragetta, M.D. Comfort Station will require contributions to off-set the more than $575,000 in expected costs associated with this project. We invite all members of the community, especially those who wish to honor Jim and the Fragetta family, to consider making a tax-deductible contribution.

Our Mission
The mission of the THS Sports Boosters is to support and promote all THS athletic teams in order to provide an athletic program reflective of the overall excellence of Towson High School. In order to provide financial support, we conduct fundraising events and collect membership dues from parents, alumni, local businesses and the community. Our volunteers provide time, energy and creativity to deliver the best possible experience to our student athletes. Through our initiatives we hope to contribute to the pride, spirit and enthusiasm of all Towson students and the greater Towson community.
